Business aviation is essential in the modern world, and it is both challenging and rewarding to work within it. At face value, it is a connector – simply a flight from one destination to another – but to those that work in the field it is so much more.
In a world where there often aren’t enough hours in the day, business aviation offers the rare opportunity to acquire your time back, in addition to offering a high level of privacy and security.
I am fortunate enough to have started my career in an innovative, forward thinking and disruptive company in the business aviation sphere. Everything we do strives towards creating a better, more transparent service for our clients, and we now also have our sights on setting a new standard, creating a more environmentally responsible future for private travel.
As the planet presents us with a platter of global issues to resolve, it is crucial that all industries and their leaders stand up and take accountability for their actions. Business aviation must address its contribution to climate change and the carbon footprint it leaves behind. The passion of the younger generation with regards to these issues will inevitably bring about invention, modernisation and evolution to our industry and its practices, in both the short and long term.
I am delighted to have the rare opportunity to be surrounded by the world’s young leaders and look forward to being inspired by their stories and ideas for the future. The purpose of the One Young World summit extends beyond the industry itself, but I am looking forward to seeing what can be learned, taken away and implemented into the industry in which we work.
ABOUT ONE YOUNG WORLD AND BUSINESS AVIATION
One Young World is a global charity that gathers together young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections and create positive change. The annual Summit stages talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organisations as well as world leaders, who debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the world faces. This year’s Summit will host exceptional young leaders from 190+ countries, with 10 delegates from the business aviation industry attending, providing an opportunity to showcase the sector’s commitment to being a progressive and responsible corporate citizen.
