To me, our industry is more personal – there is nothing like being there in person, shaking hands and looking each other in the eye. Especially when making deals, not even digital communication tools like video chats are as effective. When it comes to connecting distant regions, facilitating investment and the growth of business across the world, there is no tool quite like business aviation.
As young professionals in the industry, we have the opportunity to embrace and drive change. Why? Because innovation and different views can disrupt multi-billion-dollar industries overnight. If you’re too set in your ways, you won’t see it coming. A big part of ‘seeing around corners’ is being proactive about change when things are already working well, something that young people can bring to their teams.
At One Young World, I’m looking forward to learning about how other industries have changed in the short- and long-term, and hope to be able to bring those best practices back to drive change in my own community and business.
ABOUT ONE YOUNG WORLD AND BUSINESS AVIATION
One Young World is a global charity that gathers together young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections and create positive change. The annual Summit stages talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organisations as well as world leaders, who debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the world faces. This year’s Summit will host exceptional young leaders from 190+ countries, with 10 delegates from the business aviation industry attending, providing an opportunity to showcase the sector’s commitment to being a progressive and responsible corporate citizen.
